Oxidation Removal ($20 per step)

Oxidation Removal: Revitalize your boat's appearance with our expert Oxidation Removal service. Oxidation occurs when the boat's surface is exposed to air and water, leading to a dull, white chalky appearance. We tackle surface oxidation using a combination of wool and foam pads, along with different levels of cutting compounds tailored to the level of oxidation present.

If boat is heavily oxidized it will require a multi-step process. Each step will cost $20 per foot per step. Depending on boats condition not all compounding steps are necessary. Please see below for more information!

  • How to Spot Oxidation on Your Boat:

    • Faded or Dull Appearance: A loss of shine or lighter, uneven color indicates oxidation.

    • Chalky Residue and Rough Texture: A powdery substance or coarse surface suggests surface deterioration.

    • Water Beading Test: If water pools instead of beading, the protective layer may be compromised.

  • During the initial phase, a thorough assessment of the surface will determine the extent of the damage. Light to moderate oxidation can often be addressed with a single-step polish; however, when the degradation is deeper, a more aggressive approach is required. Pictures can also be used to determine the severity of the oxidation.
